Chlorophyll Tester

Use

Chlorophyll meter plant nutrients (meter) can real-time measurement of plant chlorophyll relative content (SPAD) or 'green degree, nitrogen content, moisture on the leaf, leaf temperature, thus can know true demand for nitrocellulose plant and help you understand the lack of soil nitrate levels or put too much nitrogen fertilizer. You can use this device to increase nitrogen efficiency and protect the environment (especially water sources) by applying too much nitrogen.

 

Working principle

The working principle of plant nutrition meter  

1. Two LED lighting source two kinds of light, one is red (peak wavelength 650 nm), is a kind of infrared light (940 nm), two kinds of light through the blades, playing to the receiver, the light signal is converted into analog signals, the analog signal amplifier amplification, produced by the analog/digital converter is converted into digital signal, digital signal is processed by a microprocessor, calculate the SPAD value and display on the LCD screen.

2. Calibration and calculation of the measured value of plant nutritive meter

During calibration, the head does not clip the sample, the two leds glow in turn, the received light is converted into an electrical signal, and the ratio of light intensity is used for calculation. 

After the head clamps the sample, the two leds light up again, and the light transmitted through the blades hits the receiver, where it is converted into an electrical signal. The intensity ratio of the transmitted light is calculated.

The values of Step 1 and Step 2 are used to calculate the SPAD measurements,That is, the current relative content of chlorophyll in the clamped sample leaves.
