When lights of different spectra are used, the uniform radiation on the surface of the sample shall be stipulated. Simulate the damage caused by sun, rain and dew. The xenon lamp is used to simulate the effect of sunlight, and the condensation moisture is used to simulate rain and dew. The tested material is placed in a cycle of alternating light and moisture at a certain temperature for testing, and the harm of outdoor months or even years can be reproduced in a few days or weeks. Artificial accelerated aging test data can assist in the selection of new materials, modification of existing materials, and evaluation of how changes in formulation affect the durability of products.
After the specified irradiation time, the surface of the sample is transferred to the simulated non-irradiation state at night. At this time, the surface of the sample is still heated by the saturated mixture of hot air and water vapor in the exposed room, while the back of the sample continues to be cooled by the air in the surrounding space, forming the exposed state of condensation on the surface of the sample.
