The test temperature was 135°C (viscous petroleum bitumen) and 60°C (liquid petroleum bitumen). The time for liquid petroleum products to flow through a calibrated glass capillary viscometer at a constant temperature is determined, and the product of the capillary constant and the flow time is the kinematic viscosity of the liquid at this temperature.
