Asphalt Foam Test Machine
Foamed asphalt is made by adding a small amount of water to hot asphalt. When the water is injected into the hot asphalt, the water will evaporate rapidly, causing the asphalt to produce explosive foam in saturated steam, and the volume will expand to 15-20 times its original size. Foamed asphalt greatly increases the volume and surface activity of asphalt. During the foaming process, the viscosity of asphalt is significantly reduced, so that asphalt can fully diffuse into the aggregate. When foamed asphalt is used as a stabilizer, adding a small amount of cement can make the recycled mixture structure layer obtain the required strength, improve the surface quality and prevent cracks. This technology is mainly used for road overhaul paving.
Asphalt foam test consists of asphalt heating cylinder, asphalt pipeline heating system, water cooling pipeline system, gas storage tank, nozzle mechanism, temperature control instrument, pressure instrument, time relay, water flow meter, etc.
