C109 Field Soil Double Ring Infiltrometer

This test adopts the test pit water injection method to determine the permeability parameters of unsaturated soil. For cohesive soil, the double-loop method should be used.
It is used to measure the penetration rate of soil on site, determine and explain the maximum speed of water entering the soil under specific conditions (including excessive water), suitable for soil erosion rate, filtration and drainage efficiency, irrigation, water dialysis, and rainfall runoff In particular, it is more important to evaluate the performance of on-site water storage. The double-ring knife infiltration only uses the outer ring to retain water. When placed in the layered soil, the water diffuses to the surroundings, prompting the water to seep down vertically from the inner ring. Two open cylindrical rings, one placed inside the other, hit the surface soil , Part of the water is injected, and then kept at the normal water level. The volume of water added to maintain the normal water level is the seepage volume to be measured. The seepage rate can be calculated by the seepage volume within a certain time interval
