Soil samples are in-situ soft soil, general cohesive soil, silt, sandy soil or soil layer containing a small amount of gravel. The soil sample in the pore pressure static penetrating test is saturated soil.
Static CPT can use single-bridge probe, double-bridge probe or single-bridge or double-bridge probe with void water pressure measurement according to engineering needs. During the test, the conical probe is pressed into the soil at a constant speed at a constant speed, and the penetration resistance, cone tip resistance, side wall friction resistance and pore water pressure during penetration can be measured.

It is also suitable for in-situ testing of foundation soil in construction, municipal, railway, and hydropower projects.
