The Soil Uni- and Tri-Axis (Soil Infiltration) Pressure Volume Control System is a general purpose water pressure source and volume change gauge. Mainly used for teaching soil mechanics laboratory. A stepper motor and screw drive drive the piston to directly compress the water. The pressure is regulated by closed loop control. Measure the volume change by counting the number of steps of the stepping motor. The pressure is constant and can be measured to 1mm3 (0.001cc). Soil triaxial (soil infiltration) pressure volume controller is a kind of pressure source and volume change drainage device that can replace conventional soil mechanics laboratory. First, the device has its own computer interface and can be directly controlled by a computer. It is also ideal for saturating, draining, and measuring the volume change of water in a sample. In addition, when the pressure and volume exceed the range, the controller has an automatic protection function. The instrument can be used as a constant pressure source instead of traditional laboratory pressure sources, such as mercury column, compressed air, oil pump and static load device. It is also a volumetric gauge with a resolution of 1cu mm.
 

In addition, the instrument can be programmed through the control panel to control volume change according to ramp and cyclic loading or linearly change in time. This means that the unit is also ideal for penetration testing, where a constant flow rate or constant head can be achieved.
